The Brief
Produce a pleasant first impression by removing the ‘paddock look’ of the entry to this estate and add value. Simplicity was the essence.
The Solution
Design an entry containing a simple design element that enhances the first impression of the Estate.
Simple entry posts, incorporating an Aluminium bar from the ground up to the top of the property Number. Only one main post was designed with this design element in order to add a slightly excentric touch to the entry.
Removing existing structure was the first stage of the construction and replacing these with new, custom designed posts, with the main gate posts being double the size to give substance of appearance. The existing gate was realigning and repainted in black with the exception of the two vertical bars holding the inserted ‘no trespassing’ plague. These two bars were painted in silver in order to add a design element and to make the gate visible in the dark.
Rewiring was executed with special galvanised cables and chrome bolts; a galvainzed steel pipe was chosen for the top rail as well as the side ankers in order to round-off the design element.
Project cost $ 2,500. The value added to the Estate is ca. $20,000 according to a local Estate Agent.
